Heather TurnerCEO & Co-Founder
Heather Turner is directly responsible for leading all aspects of the firm. She chairs the investment committee and has been involved in several billion dollars of real estate transactions throughout her career. Prior to founding Tamarack Capital Partners, Ms. Turner was one of three managing partners of DiNapoli Capital Partners where she led the hotel and senior housing platforms. Previously, she led Maritz Wolff & Co. and Broadreach Capital Partners’ west coast hotel investments and asset management. Heather began her real estate career managing assets and development for The Walt Disney Company’s theme park and hotel division. Prior to that, she worked for Goldman Sachs and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ms. Turner is active in professional and educational organizations. She is a member of ULI and its Hotel Development Council. She is a member of the American Hotel Lodging Association's Investment Roundtable. She is a past president and board member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association, and a past member of the National Board of Directors of the Florida State University Alumni Association. Ms. Turner is a Trustee on the Board of PS1 Pluralistic School in Santa Monica, and a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the FSU Real Estate Center. She has been a repeat guest lecturer on real estate investments at Santa Clara University, Florida State University and the Anderson Graduate School of Business at UCLA. Ms. Turner earned a BS, magna cum laude, in international business from Florida State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
John HoffartPartner & Co-Founder
John Hoffart leads Acquisitions and Project Management for the Tamarack portfolio.
Prior to joining Tamarack, John spent 13 years at DiNapoli Capital Partners, most recently as Senior Vice-President. At DCP he was involved in over $1.0 billion dollars of real estate transactions across hotel, office, muliti-family and senior housing products. John also project managed more than $100 million of hotel capital renovations including brand conversions in urban and resort locations. In addition, he managed a portfolio of self-managed, brand-managed and third party-managed hotel assets. John began his career as an Acquisitions Analyst for Triple Net Properties, a diversified real estate investment and management company based in Orange County, CA. John completed his undergraduate education at the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at UCLA John was a member of the men’s basketball team from 2000-2004. |
Erin BluePartner & Co-Founder
Erin Blue is responsible for Asset Management and Project Management at Tamarack.
Prior to joining Tamarack Erin spent five years at DiNapoli Capital Partners as Vice-President focused on hotel asset management, project management and disposition of managed, franchised and independent properties. Before that Erin spent six years at Maritz Wolff & Co and Broadreach Capital Partners in asset management for the firms’ hotel portfolio in the western states and project management for capital projects throughout the portfolio. Prior to Maritz Wolff, she worked in restructuring groups at both Alvarez & Marsal and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Erin holds a BBA with Honors in Finance and Business Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. |
David Pratt
Partner & Co-Founder
David Pratt is responsible for Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Investor Relations.
Prior to Tamarack, David spent 4 years at DiNapoli Capital Partners as a Vice-President on the hotel platform. Previously, David spent 3 years at Wells Fargo in the hospitality finance group, then transitioned to the Real Estate Merchant Banking team underwriting equity investment opportunities and loan pool acquisitions. He also led the acquisition of a boutique ski lodge in Alta Utah and oversaw the renovation, repositioning, and management of the lodge. David holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a BS and MS in accounting from BYU’s Marriott School of Management. |
